Black History Month is the annual celebration of Black people and our achievements as a group in American history. From scientific innovations to technological achievements, Black people have contributed a lot to our society over the years. And as a video games and entertainment media company, we personally wanted to make sure we not only celebrate Black History Month by showcasing Black creators and entertainers across different mediums, but we do it with a cause in mind.
So we’ve assembled some of our awesome, amazing, talented friends to help us raise money for Gameheads: a social venture that teaches game design and game development to low-income students of color. They recently launched the Black Video Game Scholars Program as a means to increase the number of Black students in the video game and interactive entertainment industry pipelines.
